Imec.istart is an open accelerator program launched in 2011 by imec, a leading research and innovation hub in nanoelectronics and digital technologies. Based in Belgium, imec.istart offers pre-seed funding and tailored support to tech startups, aiming to help them succeed and grow globally. Since its inception, the program has invested in more than 300 companies, selecting around 30 high-potential startups annually to join its 12-month program.
The program provides a comprehensive range of services, including initial financial injection (ranging from €50,000 to €250,000), personal coaching, mentoring, access to technology and office facilities, and a broad network of partners and investors. This support is designed to assist entrepreneurs in developing and launching their products, preparing for market entry, and establishing sustainable businesses.
Imec.istart has been recognized as one of the world's best university business accelerators by UBI Global, reflecting its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the tech sector.
