Dimitri O

Born on July 1, 1985, in Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe (Belgium), Dimitri O is the Co-Founder of Loop Earplugs, a Belgian lifestyle brand dedicated to empowering people to “live life at their volume” through innovative and stylish earwear—often compared to “sunglasses for your ears.” 

Dimitri holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Mechanics) from KU Leuven (2008), specializing in automotive techniques, and he completed a program at Vlerick Business School (2013).

In 2016, Dimitri and co-founder Maarten Bodewes launched Loop, which has since earned the No. 18 spot on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies 2024 list, sold over 14 million earplugs across more than 150 countries, and built a global team of 300+ employees with hubs in Antwerp, Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco, and Shanghai. Their groundbreaking earplugs—recognized by Rolling Stone, Wired, and The New York Times (cited as “the best earplugs for concerts”)—have won multiple awards.

Before Loop, Dimitri founded TariefChecker, helping consumers compare energy suppliers, and gained experience in product development and sales process optimization at Eneco Belgium and Trinergy. Leveraging his expertise in both engineering and business, Dimitri remains committed to developing user-focused solutions that address real-world challenges—from helping consumers cut utility costs to safeguarding hearing health across the globe.
