Dirk Marckx

Dirk Marckx, Managing Partner of Merodis, is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of experience. He joined the firm in May 2012 and now leads this independent M&A boutique in Brussels, specializing in the sale of private companies with a strong focus on M&A sell-side advisory.

His career spans equity research, trading, specialist equity sales, and investment banking. Before Merodis, Dirk spent over four years at Piper Jaffray in London, driving business development across continental Europe and playing a key role in several successful capital increases and IPOs. Prior to that, he held senior roles at ING Financial Markets and KBC Securities for nearly a decade, specializing in equity sales and financial research.

Dirk holds a Master’s degree in Management, a BSc in Business Engineering & Economics from Solvay Business School (VUB), and a degree in Corporate Finance & Financial Analysis from CIAF, Belgium. At 52, he balances his professional success with family life as a father of two adolescent children.
