Luc Machiels

Luc Machiels is an entrepreneur and expert in data. He wordked As a researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, MIT, and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory on hard computational problems with supercomputers. In 2000, he started at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager, where he worked for four years. In 2004, he joined BNP Paribas Fortis as Executive Director and held several leadership roles, including President of BNP Paribas Energy Trading GP, Head of Strategy and Development for Global Equity and Commodity Derivatives, and Head of Strategy and Innovation for Corporate & Institutional Banking. He also served as Deputy Chief Data Officer for 2 years.
In 2018, Luc left BNP Paribas to found ZX Computers, where he worked as Principal Engineer for almost six years. In 2019, he became a Partner and Director at Brightwolves, a role he held until 2024. In 2022, he founded Digit Lint and was CEO for over a year. In January 2024, he co-founded KAromi, where he is currently CEO.
