Peter De Groote

Peter De Groote is a Belgian journalist and editor-in-chief, known for his long-standing involvement with the business newspaper De Tijd. After studying Germanic philology at the University of Ghent and Journalism at the Erasmushogeschool in Brussels, he joined De Tijd's editorial team in 2007. Throughout his career at the newspaper, he has covered various aspects of business and finance. And served as deputy editor-in-chief since 2017. In June 2020, he succeeded Stephanie De Smedt as editor-in-chief of De Tijd. In this role, he aims to support the editorial team in delivering quality journalism across all platforms, with the goal of positioning De Tijd as a trusted guide for readers in complex times.
