Roeland Delrue

Roeland Delrue is the CRO and co-founder of Aikido Security, a Belgium-based cybersecurity platform designed for developers and small to medium-sized enterprises. Established in 2022 alongside co-founders Willem Delbare and Felix Garriau, Aikido aims to simplify software security by integrating various application security features into a single, user-friendly tool.

Before co-founding Aikido, Roeland worked at Showpad for seven years. During this period he moved to San Francisco, and transitioned through various roles, playing a key part in the company's growth.

Under Roeland's leadership, Aikido has achieved significant milestones, including raising €5 million in seed funding in November 2023, followed by a $17 million Series A funding round in May 2024. The platform is now utilised by over 15,000 organisations and 25,000 individual developers, with 30% of its customer base located in the United States.

Roeland's efforts have been instrumental in positioning Aikido as a straightforward and effective security solution, addressing the growing compliance and security needs of businesses without unnecessary complexity.
