Stefan Dierckx

Stefan Dierckx began his career in 1996 as a consultant for IBM before joining Capco in 1998, where he specialized in capital markets and banking transformation. In 2006, he founded Projective Group, a leading consultancy dedicated to driving high-end change and innovation within the financial services sector. With offices across Europe, the firm specializes in data, payments, risk & compliance, transformation, pensions, and talent solutions.
 
Under Stefan's leadership, Projective Group expanded through notable acquisitions like Charco & Dique, Finance Club, DTSQUARED, Exellys, Enigma, Mastermind, GDFM and Thede Consulting. The firm's core values, pragmatism, entrepreneurship, and selflessness, drive its mission to deliver lasting transformations within financial services.
 
Stefan is also active in fintech investments. In 2014, he co-founded Smartfin Capital, focusing on growth-stage investments, followed by Smartfin Ventures a year later to target early-stage investments in the ‘tech for fin’ space. In 2015, Stefan and Jurgen Ingels founded The Glue, a software company helping financial institutions implement digital strategies, where Stefan served as CEO.
 
Stefan’s leadership also reflects his focus on sustainability, with Projective Group engaging in pro bono projects, volunteer programs and environmental sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing emissions and promoting responsible business practices.
