Stijn Ilsen

Stijn Ilsen holds a Master of Science in aerospace engineering. He has been working in space projects for more then 20 years. He started at the European Space Agency ESA with a study for a European manned mission to the moon. He then worked for Airbus/EADS on the HERSCHEL space telescope throughout Europe. He currently works at Redwire Space on Belgian satellites.  Recently he led the launch of the inspiring PROBA-3 satellite mission as flight operations director. He is a much sought-after speaker at company events, engineering associations, universities, schools, observatories and various socio-cultural organisations. He appears regularly on radio and television as expert on spaceflight related topics. He also gave 2 TEDx talks and published 2 space-books to inspire children.
