Hannes is a product designer at heart. He has been designing digital products for about 2 decades and has seen job descriptions change from Information architect to UX designer to Product owner and currently product manager.

The start-ups he - and the team at Smooth Sailing - supported with his Product knowledge raised more then 10M, and many more after he helped build their internal team.

In the scale-ups he worked he saw more then 100 team members join. Many of them onboarded through the Smooth Sailing system.

He hired and coached more than a dozen designers, product managers, and product leads for the Flanders start-up ecosystem.

He has a big heart for interbellum architecture and Bauhaus furniture. The moment the sun starts shining, you can find him near a fire, baking some delicious pizza.
