Peter De Paepe

Peter is the Head of VRT Sandbox and one of the founding members of Media Invest Vlaanderen (a joint venture between VRT and PMV). He has a soft spot for radio, as a former presenter, storyteller, content maker and producer at Radio 2 and Studio Brussels. He steered MNM through some rough times as he helped them grow to what it is today: one of the most popular youth radio stations in Flanders. As he was always interested in new technology, loved to foster innovation and redefine the way we make content he became head of VRT Sandbox. He is not only introducing start-ups into the VRT ecosystem, but he is also helping media scaleups grow internationally thanks to the Sandbox Hub, a European network of 18 media accelerators. During winter, you can find Peter on his skis in the Alps. In his spare time, he loves doing mountain biking trails and crazy mini football matches on Sundays.
