Capyx is an IT consulting firm founded in 2013, based in Brussels, Belgium.
Its founders came from strong IT backgrounds. Originally, Capyx focused on helping companies modernize or maintain legacy systems, but over time its business lines expanded more into cybersecurity and AI. Capyx divides its business into several complementary areas:
IT Modernization / Legacy Integration: they help maintain, modernize, or integrate them into current IT landscapes.
Cybersecurity (360°) security services (CyFun , ISO27001,IEC62443)..
They assist with AI projects (from ideation to production).
Products: They resell or provide tools like SBOM Studio (through a partnership with Cybeats) for software supply chain security.
3. Strategic Partnerships & Expansion
In October 2024, Capyx struck a partnership with Cybeats to resell SBOM Studio & vulnerability management tools in Belgium and Luxembourg.
It’s also expanding geographically: Capyx opened a Luxembourg office in early 2025, aiming to build a team of ~20 consultants in the next two years.
In late 2024, Capyx acquired Asist, a Leuven-based specialist in IBM mainframe / legacy mainframe systems.
4. Leadership & Key People
Kurt Callewaert joined Capyx in 2024 as Business Line Director for Cybersecurity. He previously worked at Howest (university) in cybersecurity.
Pieter Ysenbrandt is CEO of Capyx Belgium.
For the new Luxembourg branch, Carmelo Bardaré is CEO, and Callewaert acts as co-CEO.
