VLAIO is the central point of contact of the Flemish government for all entrepreneurs in Flanders. We stimulate and support innovation and entrepreneurship, contributing to a favorable business climate.

We do this in close collaboration with a wide network of partners, with a focus on:

  We provide financial support through subsidies that help companies grow, transform, or innovate. Examples include the SME portfolio, the SME growth subsidy, and research & development projects.
• Encouraging entrepreneurship
  Together with strong partners, we guide SMEs through every stage of their journey — from (pre)start and growth to business transfer. We also support networking opportunities aimed at growth companies.
• Supporting clusters
  We back organizations that foster collaboration and create momentum between companies and knowledge institutions.
• Improving business environments
  We facilitate the development of business parks and provide access to suitable business infrastructure.
