Angus Bean is the Chief Product Officer at DroneShield (ASX:DRO), a global leader in counter-uncrewed systems (C-UxS) technology. Since joining the company in 2016, Angus has been instrumental in transforming DroneShield from an emerging startup into a world-recognised defence technology powerhouse.

Over nearly a decade with DroneShield, Angus has driven the company’s end-to-end technology and product strategy, scaling the Technology Division to more than 250 engineers and specialists across mechanical systems, electronics, embedded software, digital interfaces, and artificial intelligence. His leadership has been central to the design, development, and global deployment of DroneShield’s AI-driven C-UxS solutions used by military, government, and critical infrastructure clients in over 40 countries.

As Chief Product and Technology Officer, Angus oversaw the unification of DroneShield’s engineering, AI, and product design capabilities, establishing a cohesive innovation pipeline that integrates advanced signal processing, sensor fusion, and autonomous response technologies. Now, as Chief Product Officer, he continues to lead the company’s mission-focused product roadmap, aligning deep technical expertise with operational requirements across defence, security, and commercial markets.

Before joining DroneShield, Angus held senior design and development roles at Design + Industry (now Capgemini Invent), Australia’s largest industrial design and engineering consultancy. His earlier work in product design, user experience, and advanced prototyping laid the foundation for his system-level approach to integrated defence technologies.

Today, Angus continues to shape the future of defence technology, championing collaboration between AI, product design, and human-machine interfaces to deliver next-generation counter-threat and situational awareness systems worldwide.
