Caroline Gysels is the founder of SCOPR, an intelligent technology that quickly and visually maps out the renovation cost of a property. Trained as an interior architect, she has in-depth knowledge of materials, renovations, and construction processes. This expertise forms the backbone of her mission: to make the housing market more transparent and accessible through data and technology.
Caroline has many years of experience in the construction and retail sectors. She worked for three years as a project manager at H&M, where she was responsible for the realization of new stores and renovations, including the prestigious H&M Flagship project on the Meir in Antwerp. She then became a junior project manager at a class 8 contractor, contributing to a large-scale residential project of 163 apartments and 11 commercial units (managed budget €23 million). After that, she worked for one year as a cost estimator.
She subsequently founded RENOVAID BV, where she was active for four years as a self-employed construction coordinator. She guided both private renovations and complex retail and office projects from A to Z, acting as the connecting link between clients, contractors, and designers. She stood alongside clients as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, helping to make projects feasible, clear, and phased.
Her portfolio includes projects such as the Latham & Watkins offices in Brussels (managed budget €7 million), Balenciaga Brussels, Terre Bleue Hasselt, and Longchamp/HUGO/Villeroy & Boch in Maasmechelen Village.
With SCOPR, she combines this hands-on experience with technological innovation. She is building a future in which homebuyers and real estate agents can instantly gain insight into the renovation cost and potential of a property through AI. In doing so, she makes renovation information accessible to everyone from the very first visit.
