Enrico Mellis runs Animal, a global angel syndicate investing in early-stage companies.

Before founding Animal, Enrico spent a decade as a VC. Still a Venture Partner at Lakestar (he led the early fund as Partner until 2026), leading early-stage investments across Europe. Portfolio companies include Fyxer, GeneralMind, SE3, ARX, and Ravical.

Previously at Project A, he was involved with companies such as Trade Republic, Andercore, and Casavo. These companies have raised over $2.5 billion collectively.
Enrico started his career at Foodora from zero to €500M GMV through its IPO as part of Delivery Hero. Based between London and Berlin.
