Frank Zwerts | Managing Partner, Keiretsu Ventures
Frank is a seasoned investment professional and tech entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience at the intersection of Corporate Finance, Venture Capital, and high-growth technology. As the Managing Partner of Keiretsu Ventures, he leverages a unique "dual perspective"—combining the disciplined rigor of investing with the hands-on operational grit of a successful multi-founder.
Professional Background
• Investment Banking & PE: Frank built a foundational career in the financial sector from London, holding senior leadership roles such as Vice President of TMT Corporate Finance at ING Barings and Director at ABN AMRO ROTHSCHILD . During this tenure, he specialized in Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT), managing complex cross-border M&A transactions and VC/PE investments for emerging tech leaders such as Paypal.
• Entrepreneurship & Exit: Transitioning from finance to technology, Frank founded Visys, an innovative leader in optical sorting technology. He orchestrated a landmark Reverse Take-Over (RTO) of the NASDAQ-listed Key Technology, subsequently serving as President and Chief Strategy Officer of the combined global entity untill oit was exited to Warburg Pincus’ Duravant.
Today, Frank leads, next to various Expert Advisory mandates for large international PE players, Keiretsu Ventures, an open-ended investment fund that disrupts the traditional PE/VC model. By eschewing rigid exit horizons, the fund prioritizes long-term value creation and sustainable growth. Frank acts as a strategic architect for portfolio companies, utilizing his extensive network and operational "playbook" to guide ambitious founders through the complexities of international scaling and technological disruption. Education Frank holds a Master’s degree in Economics from UHasselt and an MBA from KUL Business School.
