Günther Vogelpoel is a fintech leader and operator best known for scaling Recharge into the largest European digital prepaid payments platform and leading its successful sale to Singapore-based Coda, the largest fintech exit in the Netherlands. As CEO of Recharge, he grew the business from a small team into a leading European platform for digital prepaid payments, serving millions of customers and exceeding €1B in annual sales, resulting in a highly profitable, category-defining platform that connected global brands such as Apple, Google and Netflix with millions of consumers through digital storefronts. He strengthened partnerships with payment networks and global brands, expanded the product portfolio, and put in place the operating discipline required to support rapid growth and a successful exit. Prior to Recharge, Günther spent 15 years in telecoms, working on deregulating a highly competitive telecoms market as part of Tele2. Here, he served as CEO of Tele2 Netherlands and was a member of the group executive board, helping scale the business across multiple countries and building deep experience in growth, pricing, partnerships, and operational execution at scale. Today, Günther is a Non-Executive Director at Coda and an advisor to a portfolio of businesses.
