Inés is the General Manager of The Beacon, Antwerp's leading digital innovation hub where over 100 organisations - from early-stage startups to global corporations and research institutions - collaborate to shape the future of smart industry, ports & logistics, and smart cities & mobility. Founded in 2018 as a joint initiative of the City of Antwerp, the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, the University of Antwerp, and partners including imec, Lantis and Agoria, The Beacon was built to accelerate the digitalisation and sustainability of Antwerp's industrial and port sectors. Today, it is one of Belgium's most vibrant tech ecosystems, connecting startups, corporates, academics, and public institutions under one roof in the heart of the city. Beyond The Beacon, Inés co-founded Hubs4Growth, a consortium uniting Belgium's leading tech hubs — Limburg Startup, Wintercircus Gent, Leuven MindGate, Hangar K Kortrijk and Brussels Airport Company — into a vibrant, nationwide community of innovation. Together, they strengthen the competitive position of Belgian startups and scaleups through joint programs, events and international networks.
