Jonathan Van Cauwenberge is Port of the Future Advisor at Port of Antwerp-Bruges, where he has been active for the past five years in the areas of mobility and innovation. In this role, he has contributed to the development of the port’s first charging hubs for electric trucks in the Antwerp port area. Last summer, he delivered a Belgian first by bringing the country’s first autonomous truck onto public roads during the Port of the Future: Autonomous Summit. In addition, he is involved in pioneering projects on autonomous shipping and is active in tech scouting and fostering a strong culture of innovation within Port of Antwerp-Bruges. Driven by curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset, Jonathan is committed to position the port platform as an ideal testbed for new technologies, a vision that has been consistently supported and reinforced across successive government agreements.
