Kathleen Philips is CEO of TUSK IC, a fabless semiconductor scale up, delivering pioneering hardware for satellite communications in the ground segment. Prior to joining TUSK IC, Kathleen was Vice President at imec, responsible for electronic and photonic IC design as well as local Managing Director for imec in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. From 1995-2007, she was a principal scientist at Philips Semiconductors R&D in Eindhoven and with secondments to France and the UK. Kathleen has close to three decades of experience at the crossroads of semiconductor innovation and business. She holds a Ph.D. from TU/E, The Netherlands and a MSc. degree in EE from KU-Leuven, Belgium and has management degrees from MIT Sloan and Vlerick business schools.
