Ken Casier (1989) has been serving as Vice-Mayor of the City of Antwerp since 2025. He is responsible for Public Domain, Green Infrastructure, Waste Management, Innovation, Digitalisation, Citizen Services and District Governance.
He combines over a decade of executive experience in local government with a strong background in economics, management and technology. Prior to his role in Antwerp, he served for twelve years as Alderman in the municipality of Borsbeek, overseeing Finance, HR, ICT and Civil Affairs.
In parallel, he built an eight-year career in digital transformation at Cegeka, where he advanced to Business Owner Citizen AI, leading Smart City and AI-driven projects for public authorities.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Digipolis Antwerp and water-link and as Board Member of Fluvius Antwerp and The Beacon Innovation Community.
In the summer of 2025, he temporarily served as Acting Mayor of Antwerp.
His work focuses on leveraging technology and governance to build smarter, greener and more resilient cities.
