

kobe Van Herwegen
Kobe Van Herwegen (11 June 1984) began his career as a magician on the children's television channel Ketnet.
In the theatre, he is best known for his roles in War Horse, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Josephine B, Monty Python's Spamalot, 40-45, Annie, The Sound of Music and many others. He also appeared in many Studio 100 productions both on television and in the theatre
On television, in addition to being a presenter on Ketnet, he has also appeared in Spring, De Pretroulette, Ghost Rockers, Flin en Flo, Fair Trade, Lisa, Waiko and De Mol. He’s a voice actor in various films and animated series, for which he is also called upon as a director.
In addition to his television program and theatre show: AbraKodabra, he’ s a magic consultant for various theatre and television productions. As a magic historian, he has published several books: Chapeau, the secret history of magic in Belgium, Suzy Wandas, the Girl with Fairy Fingers and Magical Minard. He is also a frequently requested speaker on this subject at home and abroad.
In 2022, he wrote the book Circus Ronaldo – Karavaan der verwondering, about which he also made a podcast in 2025.
In 2023, his biography of the legendary comedy duo act Gaston & Leo was published, together with a musical directed by Frank van Laecke. Last September, his show about Ann Christy, Ik leef voor jou, premiered.
As a screenwriter and director, Kobe works for various theatre and television production companies, where his goal remains to enchant audiences with acting, music and words.
