Kristof De Vulder is the country managing partner of DLA Piper. Based in Brussels, Kristof is a leading technology, cyber and complex contracting lawyer with more than 25 years of experience advising global clients on business critical technology projects, regulatory compliance and disputes. Kristof leads high profile international assignments at the intersection of technology, regulation and risk. He advises both technology users and suppliers on a wide range of complex transactions, including technology and telecommunications contracts, outsourcing and business process outsourcing, licensing arrangements, cloud and XaaS models, hybrid cloud/on premise environments, systems integration and other sophisticated technology driven projects. A core part of Kristof’s practice focuses on EU technology regulation and compliance. He advises clients on the legal and operational implications of key EU legislation, including NIS2, DORA, the AI Act, the Data Act, the Data Governance Act, the Cyber Resilience Act and the Cybersecurity Act, as well as broader issues arising from the deployment of new and emerging technologies. His work frequently involves regulated and critical infrastructure sectors, including technology, telecommunications, financial services, defence and the public sector. Kristof also represents clients throughout all stages of major technology and cyber related disputes, including those arising from large scale IT failures and cyber incidents. A regular speaker at conferences and seminars, Kristof frequently shares insights on EU technology regulation, cybersecurity, AI, outsourcing, technology contracting and tech disputes.
