Leen Vermeersch is a board director, strategic advisor, ICF-certified coach, and author with more than 20 years of experience in finance, policy, and leadership. As Managing Director of Flandrienella, she works at the intersection of strategy, governance, and the quality of conversations that shape decisions in complex environments.

She is the author of De Conversatiedokter (Acco), a scientifically grounded yet highly practical book on how conversations influence leadership, collaboration, and decision-making. Drawing from neuroscience, psychology, and Nonviolent Communication, Leen shows how small shifts in language and presence can unlock better outcomes — in boardrooms, teams, and everyday professional life.

Leen serves as Vice-President of the Belgian Business Chamber and sits on the board of the European Policy Centre. In her non-executive director roles, she brings strategic clarity, strong governance expertise, and a sharp focus on dialogue at the highest levels.

Alongside her advisory work, she is actively involved in Women in Finance Belgium and works with leaders and founders to bridge logic and emotion, reduce friction, and unlock collective intelligence. She is also the creator of Dora Fontanella, a children’s book series promoting emotional resilience, with all author proceeds supporting initiatives for children’s mental well-being.
