Lieske Zonderland is a behavioral specialist with the Cyber Offender Prevention Squad (COPS) at the Dutch National Police’s High Tech Crime Unit. With a background in Criminology and a Master’s in Behavioral Change, she explores what truly drives people to commit cybercrime — and how those same motivations can be redirected toward positive impact.

At COPS, Lieske works alongside criminologists, digital specialists, and international partners to design preventive interventions that discourage cyber offending before it starts. By understanding the psychology behind online behavior and applying evidence-based behavioral techniques, she helps prevent harm, retain IT talent for society, and reduce the burden on the justice system.
