Maarten Larmuseau is the CEO of Nuclivision, an AI software startup in nuclear medicine. With a background in engineering physics and biomedical engineering, he is passionate about applying data science and machine learning to real-world medical challenges.
Maarten studied at Ghent University, where he completed master's degrees in Engineering Physics, Biomedical Engineering, and Business Engineering (Data Analytics). He subsequently worked as a doctoral researcher and FWO fellow at Ghent University for five years, contributing to research in bioinformatics and computational cancer genomics.
In 2022, he co-founded Nuclivision, where he is CEO since December 2022. His work sits at the intersection of his technical background and a growing interest in the practical and commercial side of healthcare technology. In April 2025 Nuclivision announced a €5M Seed funding round and in July 2025 the CE-marking of their PET enhancement software was announced.
