Reinaert Van de Cruys is the kind of hacker you actually want on your side. As co-founder of Fox&Fish Cyberdefense, he has made it his mission to make cybersecurity practical, understandable—and yes—even a little fun.

A passionate ethical hacker since his teenage years, Reinaert turns complex cyber concepts into eye-opening stories that stick. Whether he’s training company teams or captivating audiences during a keynote, his goal is simple: to help people think like hackers, so they don’t have to fear them.

In December 2024, Reinaert was named “Young Cybersecurity Professional of the Year” by the Belgian Cyber Security Coalition, recognizing his role as one of Belgium’s most dynamic voices in the fight against digital threats. The jury praised his ability to bridge the gap between deep technical expertise and clear, relatable communication—something his audiences quickly pick up on.

Known for his energetic style, humor, and live hacking demos, Reinaert has spoken at events ranging from intimate boardroom sessions to large stages like Nerdland & DataNews. His talks aren’t technical monologues but interactive experiences that show how easily cybercriminals can slip in—and how surprisingly simple it can be to stop them.

When he’s not on stage or probing systems for vulnerabilities, Reinaert works with organizations across industries to strengthen their defenses and raise awareness. He’s featured in Belgian media to provide expert insight on cyber incidents and digital security trends.

Because in the end, Reinaert believes cybersecurity isn’t about fear—it’s about empowerment. And a good laugh doesn’t hurt either.
