Emissary of GAIA
Netherlands 🇳🇱

Milan Meyberg is a Dutch sustainability strategist, keynote speaker, and award-winning concept developer whose work is guided by a simple provocation: “What if Nature could Speak?” Over the past two decades, he has operated at the intersection of culture, technology, and sustainability, translating ambitious ideas into systems that can function under real-world conditions.

With over 20 years of experience in the music and festival industry, Milan became one of the early pioneers in the Netherlands to position festivals as living labs, environments where the sector’s creative and production capacity could be redirected toward solving environmental challenges. A defining milestone was his role in developing and implementing innovative resource-management concepts, systems, and operational protocols that helped DGTL Amsterdam, with 50,000 visitors, become widely recognized as the world’s first circular dance festival. The work proved that compelling storytelling, credible design, and disciplined execution can shift narratives at scale.

Today, Milan is the founder of Emissary of GAIA, a Rights of Nature venture developing Environmental Artificial Intelligence (ENVAI) to represent ecosystems through AI avatars. Built on large ecological datasets, GAIA translates complex environmental signals into non-human personas designed to participate in human decision-making. The ambition is to bring nature into the dialogue in a way that is visible and understandable in public debate, actionable in governance, and increasingly viable for legal and institutional representation.

Expect a visually striking keynote that moves from inspiration to implementation, connecting Rights of Nature and Environmental AI to paradigm-shifting concepts such as Environmental Personhood, Technogaianism, Environmental Self-Governance, the Emancipation of Nature, and the Symbiocene transition.
