

Catherine De Bolle
Catherine De Bolle is the Executive Director of Europol, the EU agency for law enforcement cooperation. Since 2018, she has led Europol’s mission to combat serious and organized crime — from terrorism and cybercrime to human trafficking and child exploitation — fostering greater intelligence sharing and collaboration across Europe.
Before joining Europol, Catherine served as the first female Commissioner-General of the Belgian Federal Police, where she was recognized for her integrity, decisive leadership, and ability to bridge political, intelligence, and police institutions. A graduate of Ghent University and the Royal Gendarmerie Academy, she continues to advocate for stronger cooperation and innovation in policing to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing digital world.
